About Us
The university is the vision of its very futuristic founders, Dr. Romeo T. Padilla and Mrs. Corazon Padilla, who were educators and entrepreneurs. The idea of putting an educational institution in Eastern Pangasinan is because of the founders’ intention to make higher education accessible to college students. On its birth, PUNP Tayug was then called East Pangasinan Colleges of Science and Technology, which was originally located at Lopez Jaena St., Tayug, Pangasinan. ePCST was opened on June of 2004 with the vision of producing highly competent graduates in various industries.
The humble beginning of the institution is shown in its one- story building with seven classrooms that houses almost 250 students who were aspiring to be a teacher, a criminologist, a nurse, an IT specialist, a hotel and restaurant entrepreneur, a businessman, and an electrician .
The development of a new location was done to accommodate the growing number of students. Dr. Padilla has many location prospects but it was “Lakay Ba-nang” who owned a private property at Lopez Jaena St. offered his lot where the new ePCST is about to be born. After a careful process of planning, the administration with the assistance of the then head of ePCST and the eldest daughter of the founders, Dr. Rhonda Padilla, opened the new site at Lopez Jaena St., Tayug, Pangasinan on June of 2006. The site has a single- storey building with more than twenty classrooms. Students of Information Technology, Nursing, and Criminology have also increased very tremendously.
Semesters have gone so fast until East Pangasinan Colleges of Science and Technology became Panpacific University North Philippines in November of the year 2007 as an affiliate of Panpacific University North Philippines Urdaneta City campus.
